Port Blair, Nov.8: With an objective to develop scientific awareness, attitude and curiosity among students, the Science Wing of Directorate of Education had organized State Level Science Quiz Competition 2019 for the Secondary and Senior Secondary students. The 1st phase was a written screening test conducted on 6th November, 2019 to select the best four teams in each Secondary and Senior Secondary level.
The final round of Senior Secondary State Level Science Quiz Competition was held at Shiksha Sadan today (Nov.8, 2019), Carmel SSS team, comprising Aman Asija and A Manish Einestien bagged the Winner’s Trophy, while St. Mary’s School, Bathu Basti team of Nishant Kumar and M B Dinesh bagged the Runners up trophy.
In the final rounds of Secondary Level Competition, held yesterday, (Nov.7, 20190 Ankur Das and Apoorva Singh of Carmel SSS, Port Blair bagged the Winner’s Trophy while the Runners trophy was clinched by R Aditya Raj and Ripesh Ghosh of VKV Lamba Line.
The Secretary Education, Shri D Manikandan, the Chief Guest of the function gave away prizes to the winners. He advised the students to keep up the spirit of winning by working hard with sincerity. He also suggested Students to take steps for making India Corruption Free.
