Port Blair, May 01: State Control Room, Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration issued a Weather warning over the A&N Islands received from IMD Kolkata.
It is informed that on 03rd May 2022 thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.
04th May 2022, Thunderstorm and lightning with gusty wind (speed reaching 40-50 Kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.
05th May 2022, heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur with thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind (30-40 kmph) at one or two places over A&N Islands.
Due to the formation of Low Pressure area over South Andaman Sea and wind speed likely to reach 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph and gradually increase, Fishermen are advised not to venture along and off Andaman sea and Central Bay of Bengal from 05th May 2022evening till further information. Those are in the deep sea are advised to return to the coast by the afternoon of 05th May 2022. No Port Warning was issued.
