15 Days Self Defence Course for Girls in JNRM Concludes

Port Blair, Mar 05: The valedictory function for the 15 days self defence course for the NSS Volunteer (Girls) of JNRM organised jointly by all four units of NSS was held on 2nd March 2019. Mr. Michael Raj, DANIPS, Vice Principal, PTS, Prothrapur was the Chief Guest on the occasion. While addressing the students he asked them to practice the outputs of this training in their daily life. The fitness mantras given in this 15 days programme will certainly be helpful to keep the students healthy and fit, he added.

Dr N Francis Xavier, Principal JNRM congratulated the participants and said this kind of training could ignite the young minds. Further the personality of an individual can be shaped through attending such kind of programme, he added.

Dr. Santosh Kumar Jha, Programme Officer, NSS Unit 2 explained the importance of this self defence course and moderated the programme. Earlier Dr Vivek Kumar Sahu, Programme Officer NSS Unit 3 welcomed the gathering while Mr. K Venkatesan, Programme Officer NSS Unit 4 proposed vote of thanks. Dr Kandimuthu, Programme Officer, NSS Unit No. 1 was also present on the occasion. The 15 days training was impacted by Smt. Malati, Head Constable, PTS and Mr. Mohan Rao, Constable PTS. The participating NSS Volunteers performed a demonstration in front of the gathering, said Dr. N.Francis Xavier, Principal, JNRM in a press release.
