281 IMFL Bottles seized by Central Crime Station

Port Blair, Apr 05: In order to ensure free and fair election, the Central Crime Station (CCS) is working vigorously to enforce the Model Code of Conduct. Such efforts of Central Crime Station are coming out with positive results in terms of restraining illegal liquor and unaccounted cash. On 04th April, police raiding team comprising of SI.Mohd. Elias, SI.V.Siva Kumar, HC Sanjay Kujur Police Constable, K.Rajendran, N.Tangaraj, Hari Krishna Yadav, Mohammed Imran, Lathika Kumari and HG ® Meena Sardar guided by Inspr. Mahesh Yadav, SHO, Central Crime Station, under the supervision of Sh. George Lalu, Dy.SP(CID)  has raided various places subsequently succeeded in apprehending three person namely R.Raja R/o Brookshabad, S.Raja R/o Garacharma and M.Selvam R/o Sisty Nagar and total of  281 Liquor bottles of different varieties were recovered from their possession. All the recovered liquor bottles were seized on the spot and accused were booked under relevant section of law. During (MCC) Model Code of Conduct, Central Crime Station is determined that voters should not be influenced by the sale of illegal liquor. The entire operation was conducted under the overall supervision of Sh.Manoj.C, IPS, SP(CID).

Andaman & Nicobar police is keeping strict vigil on all anti-social activities. The general public is requested to pass on credible information related to illegal activities or any activities in violation to Model Code of Conduct to the following telephone numbers: 233307, 232586, 100 & 9531856294, 9474233832. The identity of the informer will be kept secret, Sr. Superintendent of Police (CID), Andaman & Nicobar Islands said in a press release.
