Port Blair, Jan.23: The proposal sent by the UT Administration for creation of total 68 posts (Inspector 10, SI 32, ASI 26) in the A&N Police was pending in the ministry since long time. After knowing the matter with regard to pendency, Mr.Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands besides written submission also met with the concerned officials of Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Finance for early clearance of proposal pending in the Ministry. Upon efforts in persuasion by Mr. Ray, MP, the pending proposal for creation of 68 aforesaid category of posts has been cleared and approval to this effect convey to the UT Administration by the MHA on 16.01.2019 through Under Secretary to the GoI vide letter No.U-14014/17/2009-ANL dated 16.01.2019.
