Port Blair, Oct 15: State Convenor of Aam Admi Party Mr. Sanjay Meshack has written a letter to the Lt.Governor of these Islands dated today highlighting the issue about Non implementation of proper ban of plastic.
In his letter he questioned the uses of plastic bags/pouch by ANIDCO in packaging the milk and packaged food item which are coming from main land till date.
He added in his letter that the bags which were introduced in the markets in place of the banned plastic bags is not at all durable, customers who have to travel long distance are facing difficulties in carrying items in those bags. He said in his letter that if at all banning is imposed in these Islands then it should be a proper ban and not just for eyewash.
