Port Blair, Feb 24: Additional Director General Indian Coast Guard, VSR Murthy PTM,TM is on official visit to Isles (25-26 Feb 19) and will be chairing ICG IT conference planned to held at Port Blair to-date. During his stay the Flag officer will be visiting various CG establishments at South & North Andaman.
ADG, ICG, VSR Murthy joined the Indian Coast Guard on 18 Jan 1984. A gold medalist from Andhra University, the Flag Officer holds Masters’ Degrees in Marine Sciences from Andhra University and Defence & Strategic Studies from Madras University. He also holds Masters’ of Philosophy and a Masters’ of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from the Indira Gandhi National Open University.
The Flag officer held various important appointments in past including Commander, Coast Guard Region (Andaman & Nicobar), Commander, Coast Guard Region (North East), Commander, Coast Guard District No. 5 (Tamil Nadu), Commander, Coast Guard District No. 11 (Goa), Principal Director (Policy & Plans) and Joint Director (Human Resource Development) at the Coast Guard Headquarters.
