Port Blair, Feb 22: Cybercrime awareness week-2019 observed by A & N Police in collaboration with CDAC, Hyderabad from 18th Feb., 2019 concluded with a road show on 22nd Feb., 2019 in the evening. The road show was flagged off from Flag Hoisting Point, Near Govt. Press by Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands. During the road rally around 200 students of JNRM and others participated in the road show and enthusiastically displayed the banners as well as displayed pamphlets on cybercrime awareness to the general public. The road show was concluded at CID office complex followed by a “Nukkad Natak” performed by police entertainment team on cybercrime awareness.
Besides this during the week long observance of cybercrime awareness, various programmes on awareness were conducted by A&N Police in coordination with CDAC officials at various places, institutions and defence establishments at different locations of Rangat, Mayabunder and Port Blair to sensitize issues related to cybercrime. The programmes were highly appreciated by all age groups of people. A&N Police is totally committed towards the help and awareness of general public and shall conduct such awareness programmes in future too.
