Port Blair, Apr 25: Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) carried out medical evacuation of a Royal Australian Navy (RAN) officer Lieutenant Buckingham Max Lindsay from HMAS Collins recently. The RAN ship was in transit from Chennai to Australia when the officer developed acute abdominal pain and required medical evacuation. ANC made arrangements to transfer the patient from the open sea to INHS Dhanvantari. The patient was safely brought to Port Blair in the afternoon of 23 April 2019 and was given treatment. After treatment the officer has been discharged and will be flown back to Australia.
