Port Blair, Apr 11: Andaman and Nicobar Police have made elaborate security arrangements on the polling day 11th April 2019. As part of the security arrangement armed guards have been deployed at all polling stations whereas picketing and patrolling arrangements have been made by all Police Stations. The Director General of Police, Mr. Dependra Pathak accompanied by IGP(L&O) Smt. Shalini Singh, IGP(HQ) Sh. Sanjay Kumar and other Senior Officials are regularly patrolling the area to oversee peaceful conduct of elections.
In order to supervise the election arrangements, SHOs, SDPOs, Sector Police Officers and Supervisory Officers too have been patrolling the area and attending to the complaints and other election related matter, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District said in a press release.
