Port Blair, Dec 20: There is a long pending demand of residents of Baratang for opening of Petrol outlet by ANIIDCO at Baratang and the PRI members of Baratang had also taken up the matter with Lt. Governor, A & N Islands. The A & N Administration and ANIIDCO have decided to set up a Petroleum Retail Outlet of IOCL at Baratang as well as Kadamtala.
The A & N Administration has recently allotted land to ANIIDCO at Baratang for the said purpose. Further, the available land with ANIIDCO at Uttara village shall 2nd be used for setting of a Petroleum Retail outlet at Kadamtala.
Keeping in view the convenience of commuters, both the Petroleum Retail Outlet Sites falling on National Highways will be developed with a Petrol Pump and Wayside Amenities like Toilets, Chilled drinking water, Free air filling, Refreshment corner, ATM, First Aid and Parking facility etc.
ANIIDCO has already taken up the matter for award of Retail outlet dealership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and it is expected that the project will be completed within the Calendar Year 2019, as communicated in a press release by Yashpal Garg, IAS, Managing Director.
