Port Blair, June 06: The Directorate of Industries jointly with the A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board and in association with the Directorate of Agriculture, AH&VS, Fisheries, NYKS, Banks and PRIs will organize Awareness Campaign-cum-Peoples Education Programme onPrime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), GOI LANIDS and other Govt. sponsored self-employment schemes at different villages of North & Middle Andaman District as per tentative date, time and venue specified below:

The main objective of the programme is to disseminate information to the participants about various schemes of Industries Department, A&NI KVIB and other like-minded agencies as stated above towards Rural Industrialization through setting up of micro-enterprises duly availed finance under PMEGP and other Govt. sponsored schemes. The Awareness Programme will be followed by extension of consultancy services to the rural entrepreneurs such as preparation of project profile, documentation, online submission of loan applications and other consultancy services under PMEGP scheme by the RURAL ICS Cell of the A&NI KVIB on the spot.
All the loan applications which will be received online / manually under PMEGP scheme through these programmes will be placed before the Sub-Committee to the District Level Task Force Committee during its next meeting for processing and recommending the deserving cases to the financing banks for extending finance under the captioned scheme during the current financial year 2019-20.
All the unemployed / underemployed youths of North & Middle Andaman District who intend to setup their self-employment venture under manufacturing / services sector and trading / business activities duly availing finance under PMEGP scheme are therefore advised to attend the awareness campaign as per the venue, date & time specified above alongwith a copy of passport size photograph, attested copies of Aadhar card, PAN card, Local / OBC / Islander Identity Card, Educational Qualification / training Certificates, if any etc. for filling up of loan applications under the captioned scheme on the spot.
