Blood Donation Camp Conducted By Staff Council, Pay & Accounts Organization In Connection With 1st A & N Civil Accounts Day

Port Blair, Dec 05: As a part of celebration of 1st A & N Civil Accounts Day by the Staff Council Pay & Accounts Office organization in association with Chief Pay & Accounts Office, a blood donation camp with the help of A & N Aids Control Society was held on 5th December, 2018 at the conference hall of Chief Pay & Accounts Office, Port Blair.

Inaugurating the function the Director of Accounts & Budget, Mr. Rajesh Puri welcomed the Chief guest Dr. Ganesh Samaddar, Chief Medical Officer, In-charge Blood Bank, GB Pant Hospital and Mr. S.K. Roy, Assistant Account Officer (Rtd.) – a fitness enthusiast as well as the Ex- President of the Staff Council. He appreciated the efforts of the current Staff council for organizing Blood Donation Camp for a social cause. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ganesh Samaddar in his address appreciated this great service of the accounts staff and explained the precautions to be taken before donating the blood and also after care of the blood donation. He also alleviated the misconceptions related to blood donation and informed that after donating blood, there will not be any weakness in the body of any kind and informed that the a healthy person can donate blood four times in a year .Blood donation could save someone’s precious life. Could light a family lamp and could give happiness to a family. Altogether 47 persons donated the blood in the camp. The participants were given certificates and badges.
