Port Blair, Jan 07: Road Safety week is observed every year by A&N Police in the A&N Islands. During this year, 30th Road Safety Week is being observed by A&N Police from 07th to 13th Jan, 2019. During this week, various programmes are conducted in various Schools, Colleges and other institutes to increase awareness about traffic rules amongst general public. This year also many activities are being planned and organised by A & N Police, as per the schedule below-

In furtherance of this, a workshop was conducted in the Conference Hall of PS Aberdeen on 07-01-2019 by Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, Dy. Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Mr. HL Tiwari, Inspector Traffic and Inspector Arjun Prasad. In this workshop, around 150 drivers of Auto Rickshaw/Tour & Travels/Truck/Bus etc. were made aware about the general traffic rules and they were also directed to abide by them. Safety of the pedestrians while driving was especially emphasised upon in it.
