Port Blair, June 30: The Regional News Unit of All India Radio, Port Blair is celebrating 44th Anniversary today on 01.07.2019. On this day 1st July’ 1975 the Regional News Unit established in Andaman and Nicobar Island. Since then the Regional News Unit is providing services to the Islanders, which started with 5 minutes bulletin. Now the Regional News Unit is producing 10 minutes bulletin both morning and evening. Apart from this the major activities of the Islands are also broadcast through National Bulletin of All India Radio. The achievement and different schemes of GOI is getting give importance in the Regional Bulletin as well as National Bulletin. Introduction of sound bite in between the bulletin have made the bulletin more affective. Today evening i.e. on 01.07.2019 a small get together will be organised at RNU, Port Blair.
