Port Blair, Apr 29: Along with rest of world, “World Veterinary Day” also celebrated at Veterinary Dispensary, Elephant Point at 10.00 AM on 27.04.201. In this connection a “Farmers Interaction” Programme on the theme – value of Vaccination organized on the occasion in which Smt. Preethima Kumari, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Namunaghar participated as Chief Guest. Dr. Subhash B. Palve, Senior Veterinary Officer, Elephant Point explained about scenario of diseases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, importance of Vaccination in livestock and poultry. A demonstration on how to administer vaccine in poultry also conducted on the occasion. Mr. Hamid Khan, Panchayat Samiti Member, Namunaghar also attended the programme along with farmers.
