Central Crime Station Arrested Two Drug Peddler

Port Blair, May 26: Central Crime Station of Andaman and Nicobar Police, in its continuous efforts and crackdown against illegal Narcotics in Islands, has arrested two drug peddler in two different occasions. On 12th and 21st of may after receiving credible information a team comprising  Mahesh Yadav, SHO PS CCS, SI V.Siva Kumar, ASI Vijay Shankar, Head Constable Mustafa, Hentho, Sanjay Kujur, Mustafa Constable K. Rajendran, Hari Krishna Yadav, N.Tangaraj and Amose Georgewas constituted and subsequently raid was conducted and apprehended two person namely T. Kamaraj R/o Dairy Farm near sea shore near Thirupati temple and recovered 250 grams of Illicit Ganja from his possession and M.Vinod Kumar R/o Shadipur near Amrita Health Centre and recovered 120 gm of ganja from his possession The illicit ganja was seized on the spot and the accused were arrested under the relevant sections of Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985.  The entire raid was commanded by Sh. George Lalu, Dy. SP(CID) under the overall supervision of Sh. Manoj. C, IPS, SP(CID).

The Central Crime Station (CCS) units of Andaman & Nicobar Police is taking all possible steps in making these Islands free from anti social activity and keeping strict vigil over smuggling and proliferation of narcotics substance in these Islands. General Public have been requested to pass on credible information on narcotics substance, illegal sale of liquor, gambling or any illegal activity on the telephone numbers: 233307, 232586, 100, 9474233832, & 9531856294. The informer will be suitably rewarded and his/her identity will be kept secret, in a press release SP (CID), Port Blair, A&N Islands said.
