Central Crime Station Seizes Huge Quantity of Liquor

Port Blair, Feb 07: The Central Crime Station police team in its continuous endeavor to eradicate the illegal menace of bootlegging succeeded in apprehending accused V. Kannan S/o Shri Villy R/o Nayagaon from Gandhi Market area and seized different varieties of 104 nos. IMFL bottles from his possession.
The successful raids were conducted by the team of Central Crime Station comprising of SI Mohd Elias, SI T. Dilla Rao, SI V. Siva Kumar, HC KJ Raffi, Constable Chandran, HK Yadav, Thangaraj and Home Guard Driver Yogeshwar Rao headed by Insp. Mahesh Yadav, SHO PS Central Crime Station under the supervision of Dy. SP (CID) George Lalu.
The huge quantity recovered liquor bottles were seized on the spot under Excise regulation and accused arrest was effected at the spot. The entire raid was conducted under the overall supervision of Mr. Manoj. C, IPS, SP (CID).
The staff of Central Crime Station is keeping strict vigil over the illegal sale of liquor in A&N Islands.
Public is requested to pass on credible information on narcotics substance, illegal sale of liquor, gambling or any illegal activity on the telephone numbers: 233307, 232586, 100, 9474233832 & 9476051686. The identity of the informant will be kept secret, said Manoj C, IPS, Superintendent of Police (CID), Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
