Cleanliness Drive by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Junglighat, Port Blair

Port Blair, Feb 24: The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Branch Junglighat, Port Blair organized a Mega CLEANLINESS DRIVE to celebrate the 65th birth anniversary of Baba Hardev Singh Maharaj at Primary Health Centre, Garacharma, Port Blair on 23rd Feb. 2019 from 8.00 AM to 12.00 noon.

This day was a tribute to Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj by doing Cleanliness Drive throughout the country. Around 765 Govt. Hospitals were chosen over 350 cities of India for cleaning. A simple function was held in the premises of Primary Health Centre, Garacharma in the presence of Mr. Naresh Chandra Lal, “Padma Shree Awardee” & Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan of Andaman & Nicobar Islands besides Dr. Poornima, PHC In-charge and other medical officials also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naresh Chandra Lal said that he is associated with this mission for only last two years though he is very much internally attached with the mission’s ideology. He also said that the cleanliness drive is not for a particular one day work, it has to be adopted in everyday life. He also said that the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are a role model for Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. Further, he added the volunteers of Nirankari Mission discharge their duties towards society without any self interest.

Meanwhile, Dr. Pornima lauded on the move of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan initiated by the Prime Minister of India, the Sant Nirankari Mission carry forward the vision of Prime Minister in a vast manner.  Further, she also appreciated the duties discharged by the volunteers towards cleanliness.

The function was concluded with vote thanks by Sanyojak, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Port Blair, in a communication received from Sant Nirankari Mandal, Branch Port Blair.
