Compendium on R & D Projects under Grant-in-aid Scheme 2018

Port Blair, Dec 06: The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), the largest professional body of engineers in India, has been recognized as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation under the Dept. of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. As part of its multi-faceted activities, IEI is sponsoring research programmes by providing grant-in-aid from its own fund to the students of engineering colleges all over the country, under the guidance of their faculty who are corporate members of our Institution. The motto of this sponsorship is to develop the mindset of creativity and innovativeness among the students so that in future they can be a part of the larger R&D activities in our country. IEI brings out compendium on the R&D projects carried out under this grant-in-aid programme every year so that the knowledge is disseminated among the esteemed members and also to encourage the students and their faculty who are associated with these R&D activities.
