Congress Stages Dhana against alleged forceful discharge of Joga Rao

Port Blair, Sept 25: A Dharna was organized by Congress party in front of Directorate of Health Services, A & N Islands on 25/9/2018 at 10.00 a.m. to protest against the forceful discharging of Mr. Joga Rao S/o Mr. Rama Rao, a poor boy from Fisherman Community, who was brutally beaten and manhandled by a group of people headed by Mr. I.P. Singh, Ex-Chairperson, PBMC & Councillor Ward No.7.
Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma elaborating the incident said Mr. Joga Rao was admitted in GB Pant Hospital on 23/9/2018 with serious injuries due the brutal attack on him and his family and has been discharged by the Doctors of G.B. Pant Hospital on 24/9/2018 evening for reasons not known.
The PCC president said that the Andaman & Nicobar is known as mini India and people are residing peacefully without any caste, religion, language and other ill feelings. However, few leaders from the ruling party here are trying to destroy the prevailing peaceful atmosphere by creating such confrontations.
Mr. Kuldeep said that the Congress party will not allow this to happen. He urged the DHS to ensure that the Victim boy is given proper treatment and he is discharged only after his full recovery. The PCC President assured all support to the Victim and his family and stated that he and his party under the leader ship of the National president Mr. Rahul Gandhi will continue to strive against the atrocities to down trodden people by any force.
He however, thanked the Director of Health Service Dr. SP Burma & Dr. Saji Varghese for accepting his request and immediate action for the re-admission of the victim at G.B.Pant Hospital on 24/9/2018 evening. Mr. Kuldeep also thanked A &N police for taking prompt action against the persons involved in the case. Many other leaders also spoke on the occasion such as Mr. Noor Islam, Smti Shanta Singh, Mr. Tamil Selvan, Smti Zubaida Begum Mr. Abdul Majeed & Smti Saraswati.
