Port Blair, Mar 20: Communist Party of India (Marxist), Andaman and Nicobar State Organising Committee in its meeting held on 20.03.2019 has decided to extend support to the Congress Candidate in order to defeat Bharatiya Janta Party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections in Andaman and Nicobar Parliamentary Constituency.
“CPI (M), Andaman and Nicobar State Organizing Committee will strive to secure statehood for Andaman and Nicobar Islands and to stop influx of population in these Islands. The party will work for the regularization of TSM/ DRM, contractual workers and employees and enhancement of minimum wages of Rs.20,000/- per month,” a release from K.G.Das, Secretary, CPI(M), A&N Organising Committee said here today.
