Diglipur, Mar 28: On 25/03/19 at 1630 hrs an information was received from HG(R)/417 Bikash Ch. Bepari, on duty at Sitanagar picketing that during regular vehicle checking one person namely Mr. Dilip Mondal S/o Mr. Bishnu Mondal (23) Yrs R/o Durgapur who was riding his motorcycle Bearing Reg. No. J 1871 was checked and found Rs. 2 Lakh cash in his possession.
The same was informed to SHO PS Diglipur Inspr. Sahil Shamsuddin and on his direction SI Jishi George, Duty Officer along with PC/2642 Papa Rao went to Sita Nagar picketing. Later on, upon questioning Mr. Dilip Mondal could not produce any document regarding the same and failed to answer proper intended destination.
Upon this he was brought to Police Station Diglipur along with the cash amount Rs. 200000/- cash (INR 500X200 Nos. & INR 100X1000 Nos.) were taken into police custody under the cover of Seizure memo. Further enquiry is under progress. The senior officers have praised the alertness of the present staff.
