Port Blair, July 16: To create awareness about Distance Education among school children, the IGNOU Regional Centre Port Blair is organizing Essay Writing Competition. The topic of the competition is “Distance Education Opportunities in Andaman & Nicobar Islands”.
The essay can be written either in English or in the Hindi Language in handwritten form only. The students of 9th to 12th standard studying in the academic year 2019-20 are eligible to participate in the competition. There is no fee for the competition.
Interested students can collect the IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair between Monday to Friday (10 am to 5 pm) and contact the detailed guidelines from the IGNOU Regional Center (03192-242888/230111) or by email: rcportblair@ignou.ac.in. Dr.T.R. Satyakeerthy, Assistant Regional Director (Mob No. 9446372105) is the Organizing Secretary to coordinate the essay competition.
The 1200 to 1500 words handwritten essay must reach the Regional Centre through school Principal. The last date of submitting the essay writing completion is extended up to 22nd July 2019.
