Port Blair, Jun 07: The team of police station Bambooflat has busted gambling den in the jurisdiction and total 06 persons have been arrested with recovery of more than 16 thousand rupees.
Upon receipt of information regarding gambling at Tsunami Pahad, a police team of PS Bambooflat comprising SI Manoj Lall, PCs Debasis Roy, Anil and Eswar Rao headed by SI Ellangovan, SHO PS Bambooflat raided at Tsunami Pahad on 04/06/19 and arrested 06 persons involved in gambling. An amount of Rs. 16,605/- cash and a deck of playing cards were recovered from the possession of accused persons namely (1) N. Vijay S/o Late Natrajan (28) yrs (2) Nit Kumar Kerketta S/o Mr. Savichar Kerketta (25) yrs Pvt. Worker (3) Abdul Sattar Biswas S/o Mr. Mohammed Ali Biswas (24) yrs (4) Sanjeev Ram S/o Mr. Sani Ram (25) yrs (5) Chandra Kumar S/o Mr. Loknathan (31) yrs (6) Moni Shankar Sikdar S/o Mr. Dhirendra Nath Sikdar (34) yrs all R/o Tsunami Pahad.
The entire operations took place under the close supervision of SHO PS Bambooflat under the direction of Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO Bambooflat and under the overall supervision of Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information with Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret, in a release SP, South Andaman District said.
