Port Blair, Jun 11: The Gayatri Pariwar Trust, Port Blair is organizing a “MAHA GANGA-SAGAR AARTHI” on the eve of Ganga Dussehra and Gayatri Jayanti on 12th June, 2019 at Marina Park, Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair at 4.30 PM onwards. Ganga Dussehra, also known as Gangavataran, is a Hindu festival celebrating the avatarana (descent) of the Ganges. It is believed by Hindus that the holy river Ganges descended from heaven to earth on this day. All are invited for the Grand Aarthi along with family and friends.
