High Wind Alert at Andaman & Nicobar

Port Blair, Apr 30: High waves in the range of 2.5 – 3.5 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 30-04-2019 to 23:30 hours of 02-05-2019 along the west coast of Andaman Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel. Surface Current speeds vary between 31 – 58 cm/sec. Under the influence of the cyclonic storm FANI over southeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood, Fishermen are advised not to venture into northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal along and off Odisha coast from 2nd May 2019 onwards and those who are in deep seas are advised to return to the coast by 1st May 2019 afternoon.

Surface Current speeds vary between 57 – 79 cm/sec. Under the influence of the cyclonic storm FANI over southeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood, Fishermen are advised not to venture into northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal along and off Odisha coast from 2nd May 2019 onwards and those who are in deep seas are advised to return to the coast by 1st May 2019 afternoon.
