Port Blair, Jan 17: The proposal for creation of 68 Technical posts in Police Motor Transport, Police Security Cell and Police Traffic Branch of A & N Police Department pending in the Ministry since the year of 2010 has been pursued by Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, MP Besides personal meeting, Mr. Ray Vide his letter No. 02/MP /ANI/PM/ 2017/Del-807 dated: 20.11.2018. The MP had requested the Minister of Finance for giving concurrence of the proposal of the Administration for creation of 68 technical posts of A & N Police Department. Finding delay in the matter, Mr. Ray, MP has once again met with Mrs. Annie George Mathew, Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance and submitted another letter No. 02/MP/ ANI/2018 /Del-1121 dated: 03.01.2019 and requested to expedite the matter.
Consequent upon clearance of the proposal by the Finance Ministry, Mr. Ray, MP has accordingly contacted with the officials of the Home Ministry to expedite the issue for creation of 68 Nos Technical posts of A & N Police Department.
Under the extreme persuasion of Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, MP and of course with the effective efforts of the Administration, the Ministry Home Affairs vide order dated 16.01.2019 has conveyed creation of 68 Nos Technical posts for strengthening of Police Motor Transport, Police Security Cell and Police Traffic Branch of A & N Police Department, a release from MP office said here today.
