Port Blair, Oct 25: As part of promotional activity, the IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair has conducted an interaction session with Police Personals and the trainees at Police Fire Station-HQ. During the camp, detailed presentations of various academic programmes offered by IGNOU have been presented to the gathering through power point presentation slides. In addition to power point, the printed handouts have also been distributed to the participants. A special focus on ‘Certificate/PG Diploma in Disaster Management’, ‘Certificate in First Aid’ has been given for interaction. The Regional Director, Dr.S.Ganesan shared the vision of IGNOU, Regional Centre to have at least one trained manpower/ professionally qualified staff in Disaster Management and First Aid in every unit of police department. The Inspector, Police Fire Station-HQ coordinated the IGNOU awareness camp. A communication from Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair said.
