Port Blair, Apr 29: In collaboration with the Bombay Stock Exchange Institute Limited, the School of Management Studies of Indira Gandhi National Open University has developed an awareness programme on Goods and Service Tax (GST). This non-credit awareness programme imports basic knowledge and skills required to fulfil the various requirements of Goods and Service Tax (GST) Act. It would be beneficial to people who are engaged in maintaining accounts and filing of various tax returns. Entrepreneurs engaged in small scale business venture can also benefit from this programme. The programme is of six months duration, in English medium, with 10 +2 as eligibility and Rs.3,500/- as full programme fee. The Study Material is available in online mode only. The Goods and Service Tax awareness programme consist of seven modules namely: Understanding GST concept, Incidence of Taxation, Registration, Calculation of Tax Liability, Maintenance of Books, Payments under GST and 22nd & 23rd GST Council Meeting for change in GST.
