IGNOU Students Advised

Port Blair, Oct 11: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Regional Centre, Port Blair has started issuing the Student Identity Card with attestation by Regional Director for July, 2018 academic session. For the current session, 1541 students have taken fresh admission from entire Andaman & Nicobar Islands, which is 15% higher than the last year admission. The online admission students are requested to download the IGNOU Student Identity Card from IGNOU website (www.ignou.ac.in) using their ‘username’ and ‘password’. The downloaded Identity Card will be attested at the Regional Centre. The instructions to check the study material status, the schedule to submit Assignments/Exam Fee/ Re-Registration Fee are also informed through the Identity Card by affixing special color rubber stamps on the sides of Identity Card. An advise to students attend Sunday Classes is also affixed on top of the Identity Card. A total of six rubber stamps are affixed in IGNOU Student I-card to educate the learner about the Activity schedule of the university. As the student will not be permitted to appear in the university exam without the attested I-card, it is advised to get the I-card within October month. A communication from Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair said.
