Port Blair, Mar 01: On the celebration of National Science Day on 28th February 2019, a Model Science Centre was inaugurated by Dr. Monica Priyadarshini, IAS, Deputy Commissioner / Chairman (SMSA), Nicobar District, Car Nicobar in the presence of Shri. Kishore K. Lakshman, IAS, Assistant Commissioner (HQ), Mr. H. Nathaniel, Education Officer, Mr. Paul Benjamin, 1st Headman, Tamaloo Village and other Head of the Departments, Car Nicobar at Govt. Secondary School Tamaloo in association with the Block Resource Centre (SMSA), Car Nicobar.
Speaking on this occasion Dr. Monica Priyadarshini, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (N), Car Nicobar interacted with the students and appreciated the work done by the staffs of GSS Tamaloo specially Smt. Sareela Younus, GTT (Science) who has taken initiatives in preparing Model Science Centre and completed the work in a stipulated time on the occasion of National Science Day. She also encourages the students to acquaint knowledge in the field of science and have scientific temperament.
Earlier, Mr. H. Nathaniel, Education Officer/ Block Coordinator (SMSA) welcomed the Chief Guest and other head of the department present on this occasion and inform that this Model Science Centre has come up with the financial assistance of Rupees One Lakh provided under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SMSA).
The program was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Smt. G. Manonmani, Vice-Principal/CRC Coordinator (SMSA), GSSS Malacca.
