Indian Naval Ships Arrive At Yangon for Closing Ceremony of IMCOR

Port Blair, May 27: Indian Naval Ships INS Saryu and INS Bangaram arrived at Yangon, Myanmar yesterday for the closing ceremony of 8th India – Myanmar Coordinated Patrol (IMCOR). The Indian Naval Ships, with Naval Component Commander Commodore Ashutosh Ridhorkar, VSM embarked, were received by Senior Myanmar Navy officer in a grand welcoming ceremony which included a scintillating band performance at the jetty.

The Myanmar Naval ships UMS Inlay and King Tabin Shwe Htee along with the Indian Naval Ships and Maritime Patrol aircraft from both the countries undertook various exercises during the sea phase of IMCOR from 22nd May to 25th May 2019.

The aim of the exercise is to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two navies and the countries in general. India – Myanmar Coordinated Patrol (IMCOR) is being conducted from 20 May to 28 May 2019, a PIB Port Blair release said.
