Port Blair, Nov 27: Mr.Sidharto Reza Suryodipuro, Indonesian Ambassador to India, who is currently on a visit to A&N Islands for Indonesia-India Business Forum & Expo, met Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) the Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today at Raj Niwas.
The Ambassador was apprised of the geographical proximity & strategic location of the Islands, transformational tourism, infrastructure and connectivity projects progressed under IDA (supported by NITI Aayog), alongwith other developmental projects.
The Ambassador expressed keen interest in air connectivity between Port Blair to Indonesia, inclusion of North Ports of Indonesia under Near Coastal Voyages, impetus to trade with notification of Port Meadows as “Customs Port”, etc.
