Indonesian Coast Guard (BAKAMLA) Ship Departs Port Blair

Port Blair, May 16: Indonesian Coast Guard Ship ‘KN Tanjung Datu’ departed Port Blair on 16 May 19 along with Delegation after three days of their stay at Port Blair. During the course of their visit at Port Blair various events such as Table Top Exercise, Reciprocal ship visits, Call On, Visit to Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (PBR) and Remote Operations Centre (PBR) were conducted. A harbour Demonstration of pollution Response equipment and a joint Sea Exercise off Port Blair ware also conducted on 16 May 19 prior departure of vessel.

The two Coast Guards interacted not only professionally but also in the sports area wherein a friendly volleyball match was organised to enhance bonhomie between two Coast Guards. The interactions have yielded desired deliverables and generated goodwill at both sides. The ship ‘KN Tanjung Datu’ sailed at 0930 hrs on 16 May 19 and was presented an impressive departure ceremony by Indian Coast Guard at Haddo jetty, Port Blair. A Communique received from PRO Coast Guard said.
