INS Utkrosh commences 34th Anniversary Celebrations

Port Blair, May 02: Indian Naval Ship Utkrosh under the Andaman and Nicobar Command kick started its 34th Anniversary Celebrations recently by opening up the Air Station for educational visits. About 150 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ummat Public School, Navy Children School and also senior NCC Cadets from various colleges in and around Port Blair visited INS Utkrosh from 25th April to 30th April 2019.

The visiting students and cadets were given a presentation about INS Utkrosh, followed by a walk-around through the entire station visiting various operational assets and facilities. They were briefed about Naval Aviation, Aviation Technology, Meteorological aspects and Air Traffic Controlling. The students displayed enthusiasm and keenness during their visit.

The Station will also be conducting events such as Blood Donation Camp, Visit to Orphanage / Old age homes, Walkathon for the Ship’s personnel and their families culminating in a Commemoration Ceremony on 11th May 2019. Indian Naval Ship Utkrosh was commissioned on 11th May 1985.
