INSV Tarini Officer Interacts with Children

Port Blair, Jan 30: Lt Cdr Pathrapalli Swati, Nausena Medal (Gallantry) recently interacted with various students including about 100 NCC cadets of Army, Navy and Air Force at Dweepika Auditorium, Haddo. During her talk, the officer narrated interesting incidents about how they overcame difficulties that they faced during this epic voyage. The ‘Motivational Talk’ was organized by Navy Children School (NCS), Port Blair.
Later the officer also addressed the students of NCS Port Blair and interacted with all its teachers. The motivational talk and interaction gave a boost to all the children, especially girl students, as it showcased spirit of adventure and women empowerment.
Lt Cdr Pathrapalli Swati, Nausena Medal (Gallantry), a member of India’s first all women crew that circumnavigated the globe as part of ‘Navika Sagar Parikrama’ aboard Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini, was in Port Blair on 28th and 29th January 2019, as said in a press release by Nilesh Kumar Kalbhor IIS, Deputy Director (M&C), PIB Port Blair.
