Port Blair, Feb 07: Union Territory Health Mission (UTHM) and Directorate of Health Services, Andaman and Nicobar Administration will observe National De-Worming Day in the Isles, tomorrow. To mark the occasion, Principal Secretary Health Mr. Vikram Dev Dutt will administer the first doze of albendazole to a child in a function to be held at Government Girls Senior Secondary School.
During the February round of the De-worming, all children and teenagers between one to nineteen years of age throughout the country will be administered albendazole tablet in similar events at Government Schools, Government Aided Schools, Private Schools and Anganwadi Centres in order to improve their well being, nutritious status, access to education and quality of life.
