Malabar Muslim Jamayath organises Orientation Programme –cum – Vaccination Camp

Port Blair, July 16: A Haj pilgrimage Orientation Programme was conducted at Madarikul Islam Madrassa, near Syndicate Bank Main Branch, Port Blair by the Malabar Muslim Jamayath Committee, Aberdeen Bazaar. A large number of pilgrims proceeding for Haj during this year attended the programme.

The program was inaugurated by the Peshi Imam, Malabar Muslim Jamayath Masjid Janab P.P. Abdul Kader Faizee. He spoke at length about the Haj rituals and the various religious aspects of Haj. He advised the Hajis to observe extreme discipline, patience and decency while visiting the shrines of Makkah and Madina.

President Jameyatul Ulama and Peshi Imam Noor Masjid Janab Aleemuddin also spoke on the occasion. He enlightened the pilgrims about various rituals of the holy pilgrimage.

The  Member of Parliament of A&N Islands Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma graced the occasion as the chief guest. He conveyed his best wishes to the pilgrims and also requested them to pray for the welfare of Islands and the country.

On this occasion, followed by the orientation programme, a vaccination-cum -Health camp was also conducted by the A&N Islands UT Haj Committee with the assistance of Health Department of A&N Administration. Dr Kodandaram, Nodal Officer (Haj) along with his team of paramedical staff conducted the inoculation for the pilgrims. Two young Doctors Dr Sabiya and Dr Shaheen volunteered freely to conduct the health check-up of the Hajis. Chairman A&N Islands UT Haj Committee Janab Gulam Hussain Jadwet deeply appreciated the kind co-operation and support of all concerned for the conduct of the camp. Earlier, the pilgrims and other dignitaries were welcomed by the President, Malabar Muslim Jamaeth Committee Janab Hajee N. Mohammed.

The programme ended with community lunch prepared by the Members of Malabar Muslim Jamayath, Aberdeen Bazaar.
