Port Blair, July 23: As part of a month-long celebration of ‘70th Van Mahotsava 2019’, a mass tree planting programme was organized by the Forest Extension & Publicity Division of the Deptt. of Environment & Forests in the campus of Chidiyatapu Biological Park today (July 23, 2019). The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, (Wildlife-cum-Chief Wildlife Warden) Mr. D.M. Shukla was the chief guest on the occasion. The PCCF, DCF (Silviculture), Smt. Nabanita Ganguly, DCF (WL), Mr. P Naveen Kumar, DFO (SA), Mr. Murali Shankar, DD (CTBP), Mr. Yesu Ratnam, Pradhan Beodnabad, Smt. Shanti Varadarajan, Sarpanch, Burmanallah, Mr. Bhoominadhan, PRI members, villagers and staff of the CTBP & FE&PD planted saplings in and around the campus on the occasion.
