N&M Andaman, Apr 08: On 07/04/2019, during the picket checking at Kalara Junction the police staff of PS Kalighat stopped a bus going towards Ram Nagar. During checking the staff found cash in the possession of a person which was counted as Rs. 1,01,320/-. Being in access to the limit of 50,000 as fixed by Election Commission he was questioned. But the person could not produce any document regarding the same and failed to answer proper intended destination. Upon this he was brought to Police Station Kalighat and the cash amount of Rs. 1,01,320/- were taken into police custody under the cover of seizure memo and the information about the seizure has been given to the Retuning Officer. The whole operation was commanded by SI Roshan George, SHO PS Kalighat under the supervision of Mr. Sukant S. Ballabh, SDPO Diglipur.
