Port Blair, Dec 17: Apart from the initiative of the A & N Administration, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, MP, has been also consistently pursued the long pending demands of Forest department with the Ministry from time to time for revision of the recommendation of 7th CPC in respect to the pay scales of Rangers and Assistant Conservator of Forest of Forest Department of this UT Islands..
In pursuant to that and of course in response to the repeated efforts of the Administration, the Ministry of Finance has conveyed their concurrence to the Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change on 07.12.2018 for revision of pay scale of Forest Ranger from the existing level 6 to level 7 and that of ACF from level 7 to level 8 notionally with effect from 01.01.2016. The formal order to this effect from the MoEF&CC, New Delhi will be issued shortly.
Consequent upon that, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, M.P. expressed his gratitude to Mr. Arun Jaitly, the Minister of Finance for giving special attention to the issue of Forest Ranger and ACF of the Forest Department, A & N Administration.
