Port Blair, Mar 06: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, MP on 04.03.2019 in presence of Ex. Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers of respective Division of APWD, Pradhan and PRI members of respective Panchayat have laid foundation stones to seven works of UT funds which to be undertaken by APWD through the Contractor. A large numbers of prominent villagers of the respective villages also witnessed the foundation stone laying ceremony.

Providing wall with Polymer flexible gabion structure to prevent soil erosion to protect the road between Tushnabad and Tirur under the Ex. Engineer, RCD, APWD, Wimberlygunj at a total cost of Rs: 38.20 Lakhs.
Widening/improvement of State Highway from Saithan Khari Junction to Ograbranj Junction including CC Drain, retaining wall & culvert under the Ex. Engineer, RCD, APWD, Wimberlygunj at a total cost of Rs:774.06 Lakhs.
Rising of State highway No.9 from Kadakachang Junction towards Ferrargunj wherever necessary under the Ex. Engineer, RCD, APWD, Wimberlygunj with an estimated cost of Rs: 176.53 Lakhs.
Construction of Rural Road from Tsunami Shelter Bambooflat to Rajive Nagar, Shore point under the Ex. Engineer, RCD, APWD, Wimberlygunj at a total cost of Rs: 187.14 Lakhs, in a communiqué received from MP Office.
