Port Blair, Sept 02: The Directorate of Health Services in coordination with PHC, Wimberlygunj and SKSSF (Samastha Kendra Sunni Students Federation) has organized a Multi- Speciality Health Camp at Panchayat Bhavan, Wimberlygunj on 30th August 2018. Shri. G Manickam, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Wimberlygunj inaugurated the camp along with Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Kanyapuram and Dr. S.R. Gadela, Medical Specialist (Prof. & HOD Medicine).
Further, Pradhan asked the gathering to avail the services of the Camp. He also thanked the DHS and SKSSF for organizing such camp for the benefit of villagers.
Earlier, Shri. Abdul Hameed, Joint Secretary, SKSSF, Wimberlygunj Unit welcomed the dignitaries and all the general public present there.
During his welcome speech, he briefed about the activities of SKSSF in the Islands and also promised that in the near future also SKSSF will work for the benefits of this Society. The Deputy Director of Health Services also addressed the gathering followed by Vote of Thanks from Dr. Thamanna, i/c MO, PHC wimberlygunj.
The team of medical specialists and doctors viz. Dr. S.R. Gadela, Medical Specialist (Prof. & HOD Medicine), Dr. Kusum Kunwar, Gynaecologist, Dr. Arifa Biwi, ENT Specialist, Dr. Anita Saha, Ophthalmologist, Dr. Tamanna, I/C MO, PHC W/gunj and Dr. Geeta, MO(Ayurveda) PHC W/Gunj conducted the checkups /consultation.
The response of the public to the camp was enormous and immensely gratifying. A total of 163 patients including children, ladies, patients with chronic problems like diabetes and hypertension were attended the Camp and got treatment.
