Nicobar Police Recovers IMFL During Raid at Campbell Bay

Port Blair, Sept 15: In its continuous efforts to curb down the menace of bootlegging at Great Nicobar Islands, the team of Campbell Bay Police Station headed by SI Subramani, SHO PS C/Bay, SI K.A. Karthikeyan, ASI SDS Bansal, PC/246 J.Dhan Raju, PC/433 Navin Kujur and HG(R)/130 Mariamma, upon receiving a credible information raided the residential premises of one B.Jiya Rao S/o Late Chandraiah R/o Zero Point, Campbell Bay and recovered 25 Nos. IMFL (750 ml) bottles from his possession and a case under Excise Regulation of 1876 has been booked against the bootlegger on14.09.2019.

 

So far this year, the Campbell Police has seized 33 Nos. IMFL (750 ml) bottles, 107 KG country made illicit Handia, 371 Litres country made illicit liquor, destroyed 1590 Litres fermented liquor and registered 124 FIRs under Excise Regulation of 1876.

 

Meanwhile, the general public have been requested to share credible information with Police regarding manufacture/sale of illicit liquor over the Ph. Nos. 03193-264210/ 9474222862 and the identity of the informer will be kept secret.
