Port Blair, Mar 24: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat in collaboration with Biswas Organization for Social Service, Shantanu, Kadamtala celebrated Shaheedi Diwas on 23rd March, 2019 at Conference hall of Gram Panchayat, Kadamtala to mark 88th martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru, the three revolutionary heroes in India’s freedom struggle.
On the occasion Mr. Sukhlal Mondal, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Kadamtala was the chief guest while Smt. Sapna Mondal, Zilla Parisad Member and Smt. Barnali Mondal, Panchayat Samiti Member were guests of honour. The chief guest, guest of honour and others paid floral tributes to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their martyrdom day. Altogether 75 people have participated in the occasion. The resource persons Mr. Basudev Parmanick spoke about childhood, education and patriotism of Bhagat Singh, Mr. Sukhlal Mondal highlighted about the purpose of Singh and his associate Batukeshwar Dutt, exploding two improvised bombs inside the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi, Smt. Sapna Mondal spoke about Lahore Conspiracy and Dr. Suresh Yadav spoke about the life of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. Earlier Mr. Samir Biswas, Secretary of Biswas Organization for Social Service welcomed the chief guest and guests of honour, Smt. Manisha Biswas proposed vote of thanks, in a communication received from District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat.
