OBSERVANCE OF HINDI FORTNIGHT BY INDIAN COAST GUARD, A&N

Port Blair, Sept 14: All the units and establishment of Coast Guard at Port Blair are celebrating ‘Hindi Pakhwada’ from 14 to 28 Sep 18. Inspector General MV Pathak, Commander, Coast Guard Region (A&N) inaugurated the event with lighting of traditional lamp at Regional Headquarters premises.
Speaking on the occasion the Flag Officer emphasized on Raj Bhasha ‘Hindi’ promotion of Hindi in day to day official correspondence. He appreciated the honest efforts put in by Coast Guard Personnel to achieve the targets set by the Government of India towards implementation of the official language. On the occasion of Hindi Day he also appealed the officers and staff of Coast Guard including Coast Guard units at Campbell, Diglipur and Hut Bay to do maximum work in Raj Bhasha ‘Hindi’.

As part of Hindi Pakhwada various competition viz. General Knowledge, Noting Drafting, Essay and Slogan etc are being organized for Hindi speaking and Non Hindi speaking officer and staff. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of different competitions during the valedictory function to be held on 28 Sep 18.
