Port Blair, Sept 29: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) South Andaman Rural Area Committee organized one day street corner meeting throughout South Andaman village area on 27th September 2019 from 9AM to 5PM.
The speakers were Com. K.G.Das Secretary State C.P.I. (M) organizing committee; Dr. Gouranga Majhi, Secretary, South Andaman Rural Area Committee, Com. Raj Kumar Saw Member of Area Committee, Com. S.Chidambaram also Member of Area Committee.
The speakers, protest against alleged anti-famers; labors and common peoples, policies taken by NDA Govt. and A & N Islands Administration which caused effect daily life of them. Such as Islands Administration declared Kerosene oil free Islands since 1st September 2019. And suffering of the people increased.
And the speaker also narrated that Islands Administration fail to supplied LPG regularly, fail in regular power supply also. North Andaman Hydro Electricity Production is very less (some time nil) has been 8 to 10 months/ There is irregular shipping services, Port Blair to mainland and horrible condition of roads entire Andaman’s not also walk able.
The speaker criticized Government for scraping of Article 370 of the Constitution and dismantling the state of Jammu & Kashmir against the wishes of the people of Kashmir.
The speakers also criticized that the B.J.P. also planning to introduce NRC in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Which not going to help people of Islands and it may create difficulties for migratory labors engaged in construction work and horticulture.
