Port Blair, Apr 25: The vehicle ferry vessel MV Austin-V operating between Uttara and Gandhighat got breakdown on 24th April 2019, owing which her services in the above route has been withdrawn. Due to the above withdrawal of MV Austin-V, services of only one vehicle ferry vessel MV Austin-IV will be available in the above route.
In a press release the Deputy Director of Shipping Services today said that all out efforts are being taken by DSS to rectify the defect and to restore services of MV Austin –V at the earliest. “All commuters are requested to kindly cooperate and plan their journey accordingly. Inconvenience caused to the commuters is regretted,” he added.
