Port Blair, Oct 04: The Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council Mrs. Anusia Devi along with Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS Secretary PBMC, Mr. CH. Babu, Ward Councillor and officials of the Forest Department carried out the plantation of seedlings / saplings of trees at Bada Bijin Dairy Farm Ward No-15. A large number of local populace were present on this occasion. The Civic Chief Mrs. Anusia Devi stated that the Council is working full fledge to keep the city green and clean she also appealed the local populace to plant more and more tress / plants to protect the environment of the pristine Islands.
The Ward Councillor Mr. CH. Babu thanked the DFO Mr. Ayyub Khan and Ranger Mr. S.K.Roy for their support for making the event a grand success.
